New RDP! NetApp Virtual Desktop to Azure Virtual Desktop Migration - Have you heard??

Who will be affected? What should we do to prepare?

Trimble is changing their remote desktop infrastructure (RDS) from NetApp Virtual Desktop Services to Azure Virtual Desktop.

What if our end users are accessing the Vista application with VRL?
[Nothing will change] for users accessing the Vista application using single sign-on (SSO) or SQL authentication.
What if our end users are a VRL user but use RDP to access the application?
You will be affected by the migration!
How do I know if I use a Remote Desktop Link or VRL?
When in the Vista application, check for yourself!

I am the cloud admin and need to know how I will be affected with managing cloud users/access?
Currently you are managing cloud users through https://manage.vds.netapp.com or https://viewpoint.partner.manage.cloudworkspace.com
Once migrated to AVD you will manage cloud users via https://cascade.viewpoint.cloud
 
Sure, I understand but what do we need to do to migrate users to AVD?
Users will need to download the Azure Virtual Desktop with the Remote Desktop Client (Depending on the end user’s device)

Once you have downloaded AVD, you will use your cloud desktop credentials to login.
Username: firstinitial.lastname.companycode@viewpoint.cloud
Password: Same cloud desktop password prior to migration
